Hey
all you wordsters!!! You guys are amazing! Thanks so much for playing
along... we love to check out your layouts, it has been so much fun!
Thinking about a technique I was like, you mean I have to take pictures of ME trying to demonstrate how to do something???
Oh great, normally I just do and hope for the best, so a little bit of
a challenge for myself too! Anyway here it goes! I thought I would show
you guys a technique that is totally cool.... you get a little
different look, maybe a little bit more "Artsy"
Solvent transfers...
the
first thing you need to do is gather up your supplies, from photo #1,
you can see that you need Acetone, some cotton balls, a bone folder or
a spoon and something to do your transfer on... You will need to have a
photocopy of what you want to transfer, I always ask for a colour copy
on Matte photo paper.
put
your photocopy right side down on your recipient paper,( i used a file
folder card) Dip your cotton balls in to your acetone and then rub
firmly over your picture... use a fair bit of pressure and make sure
that you don't move your photocopy
Carefully
lift your photocopy and if It doesn't look like it transferred enough,
use a little more pressure and do it a little bit more
Voila!
like how cool does this look!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Next let it dry for a few
minutes and then you are ready to decorate! By adding stamps and rub
ons and so on you get a really cool look!
I started to add stamps and flowers and some borders and so on.... If you take your heat gun to your flowers they start to melt and get all crinkly, another totally cool look!
Since blogger won't let me post any more pictures you will all have to wait until next week to see the rest of what I did with this! Totally cool you will all love it! Don't forget ladies you have until Friday to get your layouts in to us.... so lets see what you've got!
Lynn
