Word UP #20: TRUST

What up, Wordsters! If your mind is on a certain holiday filled with hearts, candy, and love ... join the club. :D The holiday provided the foundation for this weeks' word: Trust.

Lately, trust has become apparent to me in everything I do no matter how simple or complex the task. My electricity, my bank, my food, my neighbor, the cashier with a short amount of time to swipe my check card, the complete stranger driving on the other side of the double-yellow lines down the freeway and anything else will at some point challenge my ability to trust on any given day.

Simply crossing the street with my daughter in tow requires trust in the drivers to follow three colors on a traffic signal. Two locks on our front door help me feel secure in trusting no one will roam around our home when we're gone. My individual relationships are based on a foundation of trust which is sometimes tested ... and sometimes re-evaluated. Occasionally, I have to remember to trust my self.
