I'm going to bring you a little easy idea for a standard collage picture frame.
We have had this collage frame in our dining room for years now with just random photos in it. No coordination. No rhyme or reason.
I wanted to spruce it up a bit and have it become more than just a collage frame.
I started to see the frame as a large scrapbook page. Here is the frame with out any photos.
Lots of little places for photos and embellishing.
I started by printing off some newer black and white photographs of my husband and I and our 2 dogs. I chose black and white so I could brighten it up w/embellishments that matched our home decor.
Once I had my photos in place, I grabbed things from my stash that matched our home decor. Lots of different colors and textures. Our home decor is quite eclectic so I wanted that feel to be carried over into the frame so it all flows.
As far as the placement of embellishments goes, it was more of a trial and error process. Trying different textures and colors together and placing them so they did not match too much but so it was still balanced.
Here is the end result.
and some of the details on each side...
So that is one quick project! It's so great because it's completely personal. You have complete control and you can change it whenever you like!
Simple & Quick.
