if you're anything like me, you keep your eyes peeled for ideas to incorporate into your scrapbook pages/crafts, even when you aren't at your craft table. the other day, as i was folding laundry, i started noticing that my daughters' clothing have some really cute images & designs that were just begging to be scrapped. so i figured a way how to do it & i'm going to share it with you! :)
here is the adorable little oshkosh t shirt that caught my eye:
adorable elephant right?
so here is what i did...i grabbed the clear plastic packaging from some letter stickers & traced the elephant w/ a slick writer
when you are done tracing the little guy, cut him out & now you can use him to trace the image on your patterned paper/fabric/felt/transparency/etc :)
here is what i did w/ my little guy...i traced him on to some cute orange polka dot paper & cut him out...sanded him a bit & then adhered him to a hambly clear overlay cut to 4x6, embellished him w/ some cute yellow fabric ears, a rhinestone eye & a embroidery floss tail + some thickers, felt & sewing of course ;) & voila!!! the cover of my mini book for all my 4x6 photos from kate's birthday party all set to go :)
you could also do this w/ cool magazine or book images or even great letter/font styles...
(of course, you want to always try to give credit when credit is due so, when posting this sort of thing on line, for public view, it is great to make reference to where your image originated :)
& don't forget! to be in the running for that fabulous cocoa daisy kit, please be sure your "faith" project is linked up by midnight, friday, august 22nd
have a happy day!
xoxo

Osh Kosh was using that same elephant TEN YEARS ago on the outfit my son came home from his birth day & I fell in love with him, incorporated the "ellie" on a layout page! But oh yes, this idea always stays fresh!
