Word Up #34: CHOOSE

A quote to start:

Morpheus: "Everything begins with choice."
        Merovingian: "No. Wrong. Choice is an illusion, created between those with power, and those without."

If you're a fan of the genre then you'll know the dialogue is from the Matrix Reloaded, one of my favorite films. I love the quote because, to me, everything begins with choice. Some choice. Any choice.

If we aren't living every minute, every hour, every day in a myriad of choices then we are living by default. It's the difference between making conscious choices or choosing not to make a decision at all which often times is still a choice. Lovely word ... that word choice is.

Here's another favorite quote:

"The willingness to make conscious choices is another way of demonstrating that you are ready to find new ways of living, before you are forced to do it.  When what we do, how we do it, and the way we do it, no longer fits our purpose in life, we must choose to do something else.  It means we are aware of our patterns and no longer choose to embrace them. Choice, and the ability to choose, is power! We all possess it, we all have it. Sometimes we don't act upon it, sometimes we do but the ability to choose allows us to honor ourselves and our lives.

When you honor yourself with choice you are, in fact, empowered. So show us your power ... we can't wait!
