This
is a little greeting from winter wonderland.
If
you want to add a snowy, sparkly look to you plain chipboard letters, or, if
you, like me have tons of alphabets, you can give them a new look using this
fun technique.
I
have also used the gesso-popping-technique on the edges of my textbox, and as a
frame on my snow-layout to give it a winter-y look.
What
you’ll need:
Various
chipboard-letters or shapes
Gesso
A
paintbrush
A
heatgun
Some
glitterglue if you prefer.
Now,
lets get started:
-
Add ghesso to
your letters. You can put on a pretty thick layer of paint for more
texture. The more the merrier. ;)
2.
Heat the painted letter/shape with your heatgun. You’ll soon se the paint
starts to pop. Heat until the paint is completely dry.
3.
You now have a “snowy” letter or shape. If you want even more texture you can
paint one more layer, and heat again to make the paint pop once more.
4.
I added some glitterglue to my letters for a more “frozen” look.
Now
add your fresh, frozen letters to your project.
You
can also use this gesso-popping-technique as a frame, as a fun background
or on the edges of textboxes etc.
Good luck!
